Seeing answers on a map
As soon as a form has a GPS position or map area question (a polygon drawn by the person filling it in), its answers can be shown on a map.
Opening a form's map
- Open Map in the sidebar.
- The list shows the forms that have geographic questions, with the number of answers, points and areas.
- Click Open map.
The map zooms automatically to fit all answers. Each point is a GPS position, each shape a drawn area.
Filtering
In the Filters panel:
- Start date and End date for a period, such as the week of an inspection campaign;
- the user type: answers from signed-in people, anonymous answers, or all;
- display of Points and Polygons, separately or together.
Click Apply to refresh the map.
Going to the answer
Click a point or an area, then Open submission: you get all the values, photos and the signature of that answer.
The base map
The base map is the one configured for your instance. When the swisstopo option is enabled, the Swiss national maps are used as background, which is handy for field surveys.
Positions come from the device of the person filling in the form. Their accuracy depends on the phone's GPS and the conditions on site. In the mobile app, the position is only read when the person answers the question.
