Joining a session

Joining a session

You have been invited to fill in a form together. There are three ways to join:

  1. Open the invitation link in your browser.
  2. Enter the session code (or your slot code if the organiser gave you one).
  3. Enter Your name: the other participants will see it.
  4. If several slots are free, pick your slot from the list or enter its code.
  5. Click Join.

With the QR code

Scan the session's QR code with your phone camera: the join page opens with the code already filled in. You only need to add your name.

With the mobile app

In the AltiusForms app (coming soon to iPhone, iPad and Android), choose to join a session and enter the code. Every question works as in the browser, photos, GPS position and signature included. See Mobile app.

During the session

  • Your entries are saved as you go: the Saved indicator confirms it.
  • Questions assigned to another slot are visible but locked; the My fields filter shows only yours.
  • If the connection drops, the page tries to reconnect and sends the pending entries.

If access is refused

A session can be full (participant limit reached), completed or expired. The message Session completed or "session expired" appears: ask the organiser to open a new one.
